Liverpool hospital terror suspect Emad Al-Swealmeen spent at least seven months planning the attack and buying deadly components for the suspected bomb, counter-terror police investigating the explosion on Sunday revealed in a new update today.

They said a 'complex picture' was emerging over the purchases of components, and investigations were continuing. Al-Swealmeen, 32, who died in the taxi blast, rented a property on Rutland Avenue, near Sefton Park, in April, police said.
