Lily Allen has sparked quite the conversation after revealing she's jetting off to London in first class, while her 12 year old daughter Ethel flies solo in economy.

Lily made the comments while chatting with her childhood pal Miquita Oliver on their BBC podcast Miss Me? Smile singer Lily, 38, told listeners that she was flying back to the UK from New York to celebrate Miquita's milestone 40th birthday this week, saying: "We are flying to London today to come and see you for your birthday.

I'm going in first class, she's going in economy." Miquita quipped back, asking: "You what that is?" to which Lily cheekily responded: "Selfish?" The conversation took a nostalgic turn as Miquita reflected: "The circle of life. That baby is now coming to London because you live in New York for my 40th birthday, which we are having at the end of the road we grew up on." Lily then touched on a hot topic, saying: "There's a trend at the moment on social media of people defiantly saying that they won't give up their seats for children on aeroplanes," and Miquita chimed in with: "Fair enough.

Why would you give your seat to a kid if you payed for it? It's not like a train.", reports the Mirror. But Lily pointed out the importance of considering families during flights, pointing out that families and groups can often be separated on a flight.
