Greg Taylor has tipped Celtic team-mate Leigh Griffiths to solve Scotland’s striker crisis after watching him score his first hat-trick in four years.

Griffiths grabbed a treble and an assist as the Hoops demolished St Mirren 5-0 in the Premiership on Saturday. And Parkhead wing-back Taylor, who will be named in Steve Clarke’s squad for the Euro 2020 play-off semi-final against Israel, is convinced his 
club-mate will be with him.

The striker took his tally for the season to 11 but, crucially, eight of them have come since the winter break and Taylor reckons Griffiths can take his red-hot club form on to the international stage.The defender said: “If Griff keeps doing what he’s doing I’m sure he will be right back in Scotland contention.“H
