West Ham midfielder Robert Snodgrass has claimed he was right to ditch Scotland - because he was getting in the way of the country's younger stars.
Snodgrass won 28 caps for Scotland and scored seven goals, including a hat-trick against Malta in the opening qualifier for the Russia 2018 World Cup.
The 32-year-old faced criticism for his decision with many feeling he had shunned his country to focus on his club side.
