Lanarkshire park event helps to tackle mental health issues

A Lanarkshire park event aimed to helping combat mental health problems has been hailed a success by organisers. Let’s Gather in Overtoun Park was held in Rutherglen and featured yoga sessions, walks around the park and even a silent disco so those attending could get into the groove.

However although the activities were fun, there was a serious side behind the day too, as it promoted connection, physical activity, arts, and how getting outdoors can improve one’s mental health, wellbeing and physical health.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
