Lanarkshire care home to be modernised after being bought over by new owners

A Lanarkshire care home has been taken over, with the facility set for a modernisation programme and new staff to be recruited.

The 60-bed Kingsgate Care Home in East Kilbride has been bought over by Cambuslang-based Keane Premier Group after they received a loan from Barclays of £1.2 million.

Modernisation of the home will begin with a new name, Ryan Meadows Care Home, and an additional 12 staff will be recruited to the existing cohort of 39.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
