Gary Cunningham thought it was curtains for his Kilmarnock restaurant when the coronavirus outbreak forced businesses to close their doors around the UK.Bar Luca closed on March 18 along with the vast majority of the country’s restaurants due to the COVID-19 outbreak.The Bank Street venue’s boss believes that even before the closure, trade was dramatically falling due to the fears surrounding the virus.Gary told the Kilmarnock Standard: “One of the reasons we closed was because trade had dramatically fallen due to the fear of coronavirus.
