Kate Garraway discovers sweet gesture shared with Derek Draper is gone live on ITV Good Morning Britain

Kate Garraway was left surprised after a sweet gesture between her and husband Derek Draper disappeared. The TV presenter was back on Good Morning Britain on Thursday alongside Ben Shephard.

Throughout the latest edition of the early morning news programme, the hosts checked in with co-star Andi Peters, who has been in Paris as she promotes ITV's latest competition.

Kate and Ben chatted to Andi as he appeared on the Pont des Arts which was well known for being the French capital's love lock bridge. It was reported at the time that around forty-five tonnes of metal padlocks were removed from the bridge after Paris health officials said that "the romantic gestures cause long-term heritage degradation and danger to visitors." Jumping in as Andi spoke about the removal, Kate said: "Derek and I have a padlock on that bridge..." to which Ben, 47, replied: "Not anymore." Undeterred from her point, the 54-year-old continued: "It says Mr and Mrs Draper..." "No not anymore, Andi has said they've all been taken away," Ben reiterated before asking: "Were you not listening?" "I know that they take them away periodically," Kate replied.
