Johnstone man brandished metal baseball bat at mate after argument

A Johnstone man swung a baseball bat at his friend after chasing him out of a house into a car park.Aiden Craig, of Main Street in Johnstone, admitted he brandished it at Cameron Logan on November 7 last year at a property in Barrhead’s Connor Road.Procurator fiscal deputy Caitlin O’Hare told Paisley Sheriff Court: “The witness Cameron Logan was within his home address with the accused and his girlfriend, all socialising.“Around 1.25am an argument broke out between Mr Logan and the accused over noise levels and the accused became aggressive and began challenging Mr Logan.“The accused picked up a metal baseball bat from the living room and chased Mr Logan out of the flat through the common close into the car park.“There was a brief verbal altercation and the accused brandished the baseball bat at Mr Logan.

However, he made no attempt to strike him with it.“Mr Logan left the locus and the accused returned to Mr Logan’s flat for his belongings and then left.“The witness McClure is staff at the locus, heard the incident and checked the CCTV.“CCTV showed the accused brandishing the baseball bat at Mr Logan.“McClure contacted police and gave descriptions.“The accused was traced and arrested.” Don't miss the latest headlines from around Renfrewshire.
