Joanna Donnelly has shared the sad news that her mum Marie has passed away, telling her followers that ‘no one can ever be ready to lose their mother’.

The RTÉ weather presenter posted a lovely throwback snap of her parent to Instagram and paid tribute by saying ‘her pains are now all over’.

Captioning the post, Joanna spoke a little about her mum and wrote that ‘unfathomable heartbreak dogged her life’. She penned: ‘Thank you to everyone that contacted me over the past week.
