Emmerdale fans were left complaining about the latest instalment of the soap over the same thing. Following the temporary end to Meena Jutla's antics last week, the attention has turned back to Al Chapman and his plans for The Woolpack.
Viewers know that Al is behind the explosion that took place at the pub on Christmas Day. He has been trying to get his hands on the Woolie from Chas and Marlon Dingle in order to turn it into luxury accommodation. READ MORE: ITV Coronation Street fans point out same issue with Craig Tinker's crutch plans While Al had already managed to worm his way into being an investor in the pub, he now wants full control and offered Chas and Marlon money in a bid to buy them out.
The cousins, however, were holding back until they discovered if the insurance would pay out. But they were dealt a blow during Wednesday night's episode when they were told by the insurers that their claim has been unsuccessful because they didn't declare potential plans to change the pub into accommodation.
Marlon and Chas, therefore, felt there was no other option than to sell up to Al, who had drawn up a new contract. While Marlon was quicker to sign on the dotted line, Chas did a bit more reading and discovered Al had dropped the amount of his original offer by £20,000.
