As the Grammy nominations began to trickle out on Tuesday evening there was much to celebrate for Irish band Fontaines D.C. The Dublin band have been a post-punk sensation packing out tents on the festival circuit and selling out shows around the world since their formation in 2017.
Now, they’ve another accolade to add to their ever-increasing list of musical achievements as the band have been Grammy-nominated.
Grian Chatten, Carlos O’Connell, Conor Curley, Conor Deegan III, and Tom Coll will have much to celebrate tonight! Fontaines D.C.
has been nominated for the highly coveted Best Rock Album award for A Hero’s Death. Alongside them in the category was Michael Kiwanuka with Kiwanuka, Grace Potter and her album Daylight, Sturgill Simpson
