As Prince Harry’s new Netflix documentary Heart of Invictus launched its new six episode series on Netflix, the Duke of Sussex has revealed a series of intimate details regarding his mental health.
Speaking in episode two of the show about his return from Afghanistan in 2008, he claimed he wasn't given the appropriate support following his return from war. "I didn't have that support structure, network or that expert advice to identify what was actually going on with me," he revealed. "Unfortunately like most of us, the first time you really consider therapy is when you're lying on the floor in the foetal position, probably wishing that you dealt with some of this stuff previously".
Having lost his mother, Princess Diana in August 1997 when he was just 12 years old, Harry regularly opens up about how both he and his brother Prince William dealt with their mother’s tragic passing and the two continue to honour her memory.
A joint statement in July 2021 was posted on what would have been Princess Diana’s 60th birthday as the two brothers commissioned a statue to mark 20 years since Diana's death.
