Hollyoaks’ Lysette Anthony confided in on-screen son about her Parkinson’s diagnosis
ok.co.ukFormer Hollyoaks actress Lysette Anthony has bravely opened up to OK! about how she has been privately battling Parkinson's disease for the last six years.The 58 year old revealed to us that while she was worried about people at work finding out about her diagnosis, she confided in co-star and on-screen son Greg Finnegan. "The one person that knew at the beginning was Greg who played my on-screen son James.That’s why Marnie and James were so close – because he was literally dragging me from one set to another," Lysette told us as she fought back her tears.

But needs must, I’m a single mum. Also, denial is a marvellous way to pass the time. I had to work, and I’m glad I made that decision." When we caught up with Lysette at her home in Liverpool, it was clear she was already displaying symptoms of the disease.
However, Lysette is determined to keep working. "I worked on Hollyoaks for six years with Parkinson’s and hardly anyone knew," she told us.
