Quick-thinking heroics from Wigan's manager and team doctor saved the life of striker Charlie Wyke. The 28-year-old collapsed after suffering a heart attack during a training session on Monday, November 22.
Luckily, team manager Leam Richardson quickly began CPR, with club doctor Dr Jonathan Tobin then taking over. He explained that the players and staff had received timely CPR training just a few weeks before, which helped them spot the signs immediately.
