Headteacher of school closed over suspected coronavirus slams lack of testing

The headteacher of a school which has closed because of a suspected case of coronavirus has slammed the lack of testing being done.

After announcing the closure of Fred Longworth High School on Tuesday morning, head Janet Garretts made the criticism in a letter to parents.

She said it’s believed one of the students at the Tyldesley school is suspected of having the disease and therefore they ‘cannot take the risk of remaining open'.
