The Great British Bake Off. Producers are urging people north of the border to get involved in the next series after the show's youngest ever contestants proved to be one of its biggest hits.

With tonight's final of the popular Channel 4  programme looming, there is just under two weeks left to get names in the hat for season 12.

Bake Off has been providing fans with a bit of light relief amid the coronavirus pandemic. Student Peter, 20, from Edinburgh, has regularly wowed the judges and built up an army of followers on social media after showstoppers including a hero-themed bake based on Sir Chris Hoy, and bread featuring the skyline of his home city.
