It looks like The Flash is going to get a ninth season on The CW because star Grant Gustin has signed a new deal to return as the title character.

The 32-year-old actor has only agreed to appear in one more season of the hit series at this time and it’s possible that the show could end after season nine. Click inside for more details, including his new salary… Deadline reports that Grant will star in only 15 episodes in season nine and he’s getting a “sizable raise” to a number north of $200,000 an episode.

That means he will earn at least $3 million for appearing in the 15 episodes. It was reported that The CW wanted to finalize Grant‘s contract negotiations before season eight ended production so that they could give the show a proper send-off if needed.

The ninth season of The Flash has not yet been officially ordered, but the show is expected to be renewed now that Grant‘s deal is done.
