Graeme Edge was a co-founder and drummer for the classic progressive rock band the Moody Blues.Graeme Edge was one of the co-founders and the drummer of the Moody Blues who formed in Birmingham, England in 1964.

The band started out playing rhythm and blues influenced songs. In 1966, Justin Hayward and John Lodge replaced original members Clint Warwick and Denny Laine, forming the band’s best known line-up.

The Moody Blues were pioneers of progressive rock releasing influential hit songs including “Nights in White Satin” and “Tuesday Afternoon.” Besides his outstanding drumming, Edge provided poetry for the band which can be heard on their seminal 1967 album “Days of Future Passed.” Edge retired from touring in 2018 and was the last.
