SUSANNA Reid reassured Good Morning Britain viewers that Kyiv-based war reporter Rohit Kachroo was safe after a live feed cut out on today's show.

The journalist has been based in the Ukrainian capital since the beginning of Russia's invasion last month. Today Rohit spoke about the 121 children who have died so far in the conflict as he wandered the streets.

The broadcast broke down though, leaving a black screen with his name written across it. Adil Ray said: "We seem to be having some technical difficulties.

We've lost Rohit, unfortunately." Susanna added: "Just to reassure our viewers, Rohit is fine. It was just a technical problem which meant the line stopped working. "He's doing all right there in Kyiv." Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky have been buoyed by intelligence saying Putin’s frontline units are three days from running out of vital supplies - with 10,000 Russian soldiers dead in a month.
