Glasgow is on flood alert on the opening day of the COP26 climate change summit. Scotland’s largest city will welcome more than 30,000 people over the next two weeks for the vital climate talks.And it appears that the conference will be struck down by adverse weather on the opening day, after the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) issued an alert for floods.
Experts say that heavy rainfall over the weekend could lead to flood impacts from rivers and surface water, which could result to disruption to travel and the flooding of properties.
