Gillian Robespierre & Mathilde Dratwa To Write & Executive Produce ‘Separation Anxiety’ TV Series In Works At Wiip
deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: Gillian Robespierre (Obvious Child, Landline) and Mathilde Dratwa (Milk and Gall) have been tapped to executive produce and pen the adaptation for Separation Anxiety, a limited series based on Laura Zigman’s bestselling novel, from independent studio wiip.
Robespierre also will direct the pilot for the project starring Julianne Nicholson.Separation Anxiety centers on Judy, who will be played by Nicholson.
It is described as an honest and humorous portrait of a wife and mother in limbo, examining the ebb and flow of her most important relationships, her career and ultimately, her self-worth.
The novel taps into the insecurities and anxieties that most keep under wraps with a voice that is at once gleefully irreverent and genuinely touching.Wiip optioned the rights to the novel to develop as a premium TV series headlined by Nicholson.
