Fundraisers in West Lothian have been praised for raising over £13,000 during the last 12 months for the charity Guide Dogs.The West Lothian fundraising group, made up entirely of volunteers, raised the sum by organising supermarket collections and events.As a result of reaching the £13,000 milestone, the group have been able to support a working partnership between a guide dog and a person with sight loss.Community fundraising development officer, Diane Moore, said: “This amazing group of volunteers have done incredibly well to raise this sum.“Volunteers kindly offer their time, support and energy to our charity.
