Francis Ngannou continues to fan the flames of talk regarding a potential fight with Tyson Fury, saying that his childhood dream was always to be a boxer.
Ngannou fought Cyril Gane last night at UFC 270 and won via unanimous decision to retain his heavyweight crown and fuel talk of a massive crossover fight with Fury. "My dream since I was a child was to become a boxer," Ngannou told the Daily Mail. "Along the way I discovered MMA, which has been great for me, but still that hasn't taken away my dream of boxing, I always knew I wanted to be part of boxing. "If you give me two options, I would choose to fight Tyson Fury over Cyril Gane." Any potential fight would continue the growing trend of exhibition fights in the sport and while it might not be attractive to the purists there will be lots of curiosity as to the outcome of any such bout. "I think sometimes professional boxers can underestimate MMA fighters," he added. "Everyone has their own opinion, somebody will say that I'd easily beat Fury whereas others say he will easily beat me. "Another person will say it will be an even fight, that's the fight business, it's all about opinions."
