Former Rangers scout in Didier Drogba transfer claim as ex-Ibrox guru reveals his French connection

He was in charge of signings at Rangers when the likes of Dado Prso, Thomas Buffel and Brahim Hemdani arrived. But former Ibrox head of player recruitment Paul Montgomery also takes credit for discovering one of football's biggest stars in recent memory.

Montgomery joined Rangers in July 2004 and left two years later, but before his arrival he had an agonising near miss with Didier Drogba.
