First picture of motorcyclist who died following horror crash with car on Scots road

Scots road has been named by police. Steven Armstrong was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in Annan. Emergency services raced to the B6357 Annan to Jedburgh Road, near to its junction with the A75 Gretna to Stranraer road yesterday around midday.A Vauxhall Corsa and Suzuki motorcycle were involved in the crash.

Mr Armstrong, 52, was pronounced dead at the scene, with the Lockerbie man's relatives being made aware of this. The 31-year-old man driving the car was uninjured.Police are now appealing for information as they try to figure out what happened.

Sergeant Bob McNay, from Police Scotland 's Road Policing Unit, said: "Our thoughts are with the family of the man who sadly lost his life and those directly affect by this collision..
