iOS - Android JMS admitted health and safety failings arising from the tragedy on August 9, 2017.Hamilton Sheriff Court heard on Friday that the firm is part of the Advance Construction group for which Mr Gallagher, a grandfather, had worked for around 20 years.He had been a construction site supervisor and after he retired he missed his job so badly that he returned as a general maintenance worker at the Blantyre yard.On the morning of the tragedy, Mr Gallagher had been painting the tops of shipping containers and attaching chains to them as they were being moved to create more space in the yard.He was not wearing a harness or head protection.CCTV showed him using a piece of twine to secure a ladder to a container, but the ladder was moved.
