A heartbroken daughter was blown away by her parents' big-hearted neighbours - after they made a lasting shrine in memory of her parents.

Linda Shanks' father, Alexander Shanks, passed away from coronavirus in April, after allegedly contracting the virus within the Vale of Leven Hospital and his family had to say goodbye to him over the phone.

Due to lockdown restrictions, his loved ones were unable to hold a proper funeral for him, although orders of service, containing the details of his funeral, were delivered to neighbours.And Linda was gobsmacked when the neighbours then clubbed together and erected a bench in his memory.The bench bearing the names of both Alexander and wife Pat, who worked as a cook in a care home in Cove and passed
