East Ayrshire Council £11 million.A council report released this week shows the projected cost of the Covid crisis for the local authority up to March 31, 2021.The economic forecast that will be presented to a committee next week paints a bleak financial forecast for the local authority.But services are projecting a combined overspend of £3.786m as a result of COVID-19.Officials say this is lower than the projected overspend of £4.202m and is due to additional funding from the Scottish Government to offset costs and pressures within health and social care.

Wellbeing is expected to absorb the majority of costs, with £6.576m.The sector includes related expenditure of £5.805m in Health & Social Care.The highest areas of projected expenditure.
