Each Bank Holiday, payment dates change for people on Universal Credit, PIP, State Pension and other benefits. This weekend is the Easter Bank Holiday, meaning benefit payments will be changing for millions of people in the UK.

If you claim anything from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), you should check to see if you are affected. The holiday weekend from April 15 to April 18 means that if the expected payment date is Friday 15 or Monday 18 April, then benefits will be paid early on Thursday, 14 April.

If the expected payment date is not listed, claimants will get their money on the usual payment date, reports the Daily Record.
