Dog with epilepsy and in need of vital medication is missing after running off in Chorlton Meadows

The owners of a missing dog have launched a desperate appeal for information as she has now missed vital medication. Myrtle, a seven-year-old tri-coloured beagle, has been missing since Monday (April 20) after wandering off in Chorlton Meadows, near to the River Mersey, at approximately 6.30pm.

Myrtle has epilepsy and has missed three days of crucial medication, meaning that she is now in a very vulnerable state. “She has developed epilepsy over the last year or so and is on medication twice a day to stop fits,” said owner Abigail McKessy. “She has now missed six doses so it is very likely that she could have already had a fit. “Her medication was recently upped and this had an effect on her and made her appear more disorientated.” Myrtle
