Devastated family of missing Scot 'completely heartbroken' as cops ramp up search one month on

The family of a Scot missing for almost one month say they're 'completely heartbroken' as police ramp up the search for him.

Dean Conner vanished from Musselburgh, East Lothian on Hogmanay. The 37-year-old was last seen around 5pm that day in the town's Links Avenue, heading towards the promenade.

Almost one month on, his bereft family released a devastating statement asking members of the public for help to bring him home.

It read: "We are completely heartbroken and just want to find Dean. "Please get in touch with the police if you can help."Officers are making door-to-door enquiries and handing out leaflets in the hope of jogging locals' memories as they work to find Dean.Dean is described as white, five foot, ten inches tall with short, dark brown, black hair.CCTV footage of Dean shows that shortly before he went missing he was wearing a black hooded top, black jogging bottoms and white trainers.Police stressed that even 'small pieces of information' could help with their probe and urged both residents and visitors to 'think back and see if they can remember anything'.Chief Inspector Jocelyn O’Conner said: “It is almost a month since Dean was last seen and his family is understandably increasingly concerned about him."I am asking people in the town, or who were visiting the area, to think back and see if they can remember anything that might help us to find him. “Small pieces of information could help us to find out what has happened, so even if you think it is insignificant, please get in touch.
