Joe Exotic
Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage (born March 5, 1963), better known by his stage name Joe Exotic, is an American former zoo operator, internet personality, musician, and convicted felon. The former owner and operator of the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park (a.k.a. G. W. Zoo) in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Maldonado-Passage had claimed to be the most prolific breeder of tigers in the United States. He twice unsuccessfully ran for public office, first for President of the United States in 2016 as an independent, and then for Governor of Oklahoma in 2018 as a Libertarian.
Carole Baskin
Carole Baskin (born June 6, 1961) is an American animal rights activist and owner of Big Cat Rescue, a non-profit animal sanctuary based near Tampa, Florida. Baskin drew public attention when she was featured in the 2020 Netflix documentary series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness about Oklahoma-based private zoo operator known as Joe Exotic. The Netflix series follows both Baskin and Joe Exotic, filming their ongoing and escalating feuds over exotic animals in private zoos. Following the series' release, Baskin has been targeted by Internet memes related to the disappearance of Don Lewis, her second husband.

Dennis Quaid Joins ‘Joe Exotic’ Series With Kate McKinnon And John Cameron Mitchell

Dennis Quaid is jumping on the “Tiger King” train. The actor has signed on to play reality show producer Rick Kirkman in the Peacock limited series, tentatively titled “Joe Exotic”.

Quaid joins previously-announced cast members John Cameron Mitchell as zoo owner Joe “Exotic” Schreibvogel and “Saturday Night Live”‘s Kate McKinnon as his rival cat sanctuary owner Carole Baskin.

Nat Wolff will star as Joe’s husband Travis Maldonado, with Brian Van Holt and Sam Keeley rounding out the cast.
