Crosshouse Hospital collection is a record breaker

Grateful Michael Kirkum has paid tribute to kind local people who have helped make his tenth Christmas collection for Crosshouse Hospital a huge success.Over the past few weeks, people from across the community have been donating a host of items, including colouring books, pens, pencils and crayons, baby teddies, baby comforters, Nintendo Switch games and selection boxes.And the Kilwinning father-of-10 has ensured they were all dropped off at the hospital ahead of Santa’s visit on Friday.He said: “This is my 10-year collection for Crosshouse Children’s ward is the best yet and I’m humbled by your support each year."Times are tough for many with this cost-of-living crisis but you still dig deep and donate.
