The August bank holiday weekend has long been home to the annual Manchester Pride celebrations, but this year the council are urging revellers to stay away from the city.The 2020 festival - which was set to include a headline performance from Adam Lambert as well as the huge parade through the city - has been postponed.But the bars around the city's iconic Gay Village are now back open, operating with reduced capacities and new Covid-safe regulations.Manchester City Council has urged people not to travel into Manchester to celebrate Pride, saying that Covid-19 'remains a very real threat'.Those who do head into the city over the weekend are reminded to adhere to social distancing measures and other restrictions.Greater Manchester still.
