Last week saw workers gathering outside the undergarment factory after it emerged that Carla Connor (Alison King) turned to dodgy businessman Nadeem Atallah (Kammy Darweish) to deal with her issues sourcing the correct fabrics and deals for the company.The police turn up and Griff - joined by Spider Nugent (Martin Hancock), Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) and Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) - antagonises the crowd before throwing a bottle, which hits policeman Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) on the head.
To make matters worse for potential-jailbird Toyah, Saira Habeeb (Kim Vithana) arrives on the Street and accuses Toyah of murdering her son Imran after spotting his wife and new beau kissing in secret.
Last month was an investigation launched into the lawyers tragic death after his suspicious injuries came to light, leading to his wife Toyah being subsequently arrested and charged.
