Headteacher's devastation after boy, 15, stabbed to death outside school gates

A devastated headteacher in Huddersfield has paid tribute to a 'wonderful student' who was fatally stabbed outside the school gates.

A murder investigation was launched after the 15-year-old died following a stabbing near to the entrance of North Huddersfield Trust School on Wednesday afternoon.

The boy received treatment at the scene before being rushed to hospital for emergency surgery, but he tragically died a short time later, West Yorkshire Police said.

Headteacher at the school Andrew Fell has now issued a statement after the incident. He said the school had 'lost a wonderful student from our school community'.
