Coronation Street’s Andy Whyment has revealed to fans the new rules that he and his fellow soap actors have to adhere to as the ITV programme prepares to resume filming.
Andy, aka Kirk Sutherland, told Lorraine Kelly today that he was not sure what to expect, and admitted that he and the cast were “worried” that the show would go off air.
The soap - along with Emmerdale, Eastenders and a number of other programmes - was forced to stop production in March due to the coronavirus pandemic and implementation of lockdown.
Despite the frequency of episodes being cut in half, viewers worried that they were soon going to run out as it is widely known that the soap works around eight weeks in advance.
