All Scots aged over 70 will be tested for coronavirus when they are admitted to hospital, regardless of whether they have symptoms.
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon made the pledge during her latest briefing on the pandemic today (Tuesday, April 28). As well as expanding the testing regime, the Scottish Government has also announced that patients over the age of 70 will be tested every four hours throughout their stay.
A total of 1,332 patients have died in Scotland after testing positive for Covid-19, up by 70 from 1,262 on Monday.The First Minister also revealed 10,721 people have now tested positive for the virus in Scotland, up by 200 from 10,521 the day before.There are 126 people in intensive care with coronavirus or coronavirus
