Cardi B has a hilarious nickname for Charli XCX! The “Beg for You” performer stopped by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Friday (March 4), where she revealed the rapper accidentally tagged the wrong person in a tweet about their collaboration. Click inside to read more… “Basically what happened was, we did a song together with Rita Ora and Bebe Rexha,” she began, referencing the 2018 track “Girls.” Charli continued, “It was one of those scenarios where we never actually met when we made the song.
We shot the music video separately and we were sending verses or whatever.” “And then she tweets the song and I’m like, ‘Oh my god, Cardi B tweeted my name, this is huge!’” she exclaimed, before adding: “Then I checked the tag, and instead of Charli XCX [she tagged] ‘Charli STD.’” “Close enough!” Jimmy joked. Charli then added that Cardi had tagged the wrong account “not once, but twice.” “You know, I felt honored actually,” the “Gone” singer said. “If anyone is gonna make this kind of online error, it’s got to be Cardi because it’s iconic.
And I’m almost happy it happened. She can call me ‘Charli STD’ whenever she wants.” Check out the full interview down below! Charli recently explained why she didn’t do a remix for Britney Spears‘ song “Slumber Party.”
