Channel 4 says it's 'appalled to learn' of allegations against comedian and actor Russell Brand, calling them 'deeply troubling'.
The channel released a statement on Saturday night ahead of the Dispatches investigation being aired - as the Commons Culture, Media and Sport Committee Chair, Dame Caroline Dinenage, said MPs would be 'closely monitoring' responses to the allegations, which he strongly denies.
Brand has been accused of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse of four women, which the comedian says he 'absolutely' denies. It has now been revealed that four women are alleged to have come forward with claims of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse against the actor and TV presenter, with incidents taking place between 2006 and 2013.
