Celtic title latest as SPFL decision could hinge on approaches in other European leagues

In the absence of any football to talk about, it seems the main discussion these days is whether and when the Scottish Premiership season should be completed.

An SPFL resolution brought the lower leagues to a close based on points-per-game and the governing body has the power to do the same in the top flight.

That would crown Celtic champions and potentially relegate Hearts if Ann Budge can't get reconstruction plans passed. Any decision would have to be ratified by UEFA, who have confirmed they will allow seasons to end early based on government decrees or financial difficulty.
