A group of charity walkers are hoping their fundraising efforts are nice and tr-easy. Castle Douglas residents Keith Heron, Lyn Ferguson, Max Pohlendt and St Ninian’s Church rector Rev Christopher Ketley plan to collectively walk one million steps by November 20.
In the process, they are hoping to raise £2,500 for the Eden Reforestation Projects and, in particular, their plans to plant 1,500 trees in Nepal.
Reforestation is seen as an important way to tackle the climate crisis and Eden has already planted nearly 700 million trees in nine developing countries.
