Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.

A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.

He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.

Brendan Rodgers thinks Marcel Sabitzer should have been sent off for his knee-high challenge on Wout Faes in Leicester's 3-0 defeat against Manchester United.

The Austrian midfielder followed through on the Leicester defender as the duo competed for the ball in the closing stages of the first-half at Old Trafford.

A foul was awarded, but Sabitzer was not booked for the challenge, with replays showing that he caught his opponent on the knee after the ball was cleared. Speaking after the match, Rodgers was asked for his opinion on the incident and revealed that he thought the United midfielder should have been shown a red card. "It is a sending off, a straight leg on to the knee," he said at his post-match press conference. "How it was not looked at and deemed that, is incredible." When further pressed on the challenge, the Northern Irish manager took aim at the officials and claimed there had been similar incidents missed across the Premier League in recent weeks.
