Brave domestic abuse survivor wants you to see shock images of brutal injuries

domestic abuse survivor has shared images of the injuries she endured at the hands of her former partner. Leanne Gaskell's skin peeled away from her face after her ex-boyfriend Paul Cave slashed her cheek open with a mug, leaving her covered in blood.

She had to call 999 herself and was taken to hospital, where Cave showed up to say how "sorry" he was, but then threatened he'd "have her shot" if she cooperated with police, Liverpool Echo reports.

Cave, from Liverpool but of no fixed address, admitted wounding and was jailed for four years over the attack on July 30, with an extended two years on licence.Leanne has now spoken out for the first time about the terrifying experience in an effort to raise awareness of domestic abuse and to help.
