A brave Ayr chip shop owner made a citizen’s arrest against an armed gunman who was attempting to rob his shop. The guy came into the shop, had a gun in his hand and said, ‘just empty the till’. “He had a bag and put it in front of me and said, ‘put money into the bag’.“I told him: 'We’ve got cameras, the police are going to catch you'.“And he said, ‘I don’t f****** care, just put money into the bag’.“My wife was shaking and wasn’t far away from him and said, ‘Ali, just give him the money’.“As soon as she said that he looked at her and that’s when I grabbed him down.“I don’t know how I grabbed him down.
