Emergency services were called to the incident in Arley Avenue shortly before 6.50pm on Tuesday (March 31). The boy was taken to hospital, although his injuries are not believed to be serious.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing a number of emergency services vehicles on the residential street, off Walmersley Road.
