Body found in search for missing Aberdeen teenager David MacLeod

Aberdeen. Officers from Police Scotland made the grim discovery in the wooded area near to Grandholm Drive at around 3pm on Wednesday, June 24.

Formal identification has yet to take place, however the family of David MacLeod has been informed. The 18-year-old vanished from Stafford Street at around 1pm on Friday June 19.

Cops, the coastguard and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service had been scouring the River Don in the city as part of a major search operation.

A Police Scotland statement read: "We can confirm that around 3pm today (Wednesday, 24 June, 2020) the body of a man was found in the wooded area near to Grandholm Drive in Aberdeen."Formal identification has yet to take place however the family of 18-year-old David MacLeod who was.
