This week Shapiro is launching her very first skin care product, a process that has come with its own distinct challenges. “In fragrance, it's very hard to describe when you're working with a master perfumer exactly what you want,” she tells Glamour. “Half the time you're talking about vocabulary of sense, and you're not even going out and trying new modifications yet.

You're really just talking about what ‘sexy’ means. Whereas with skin care, it's very specific.” Shapiro knew what she wanted to make after years of searching for the perfect moisturizer.
