BBC BOSSES are frantically trying to tie Maya Jama into a big-money deal to stop rivals from pinching her. The Sun Online can reveal that TV chiefs are worried about the 25-year-old star being poached by other channels after her huge success with them.
Maya has won over viewers and critics alike as the co-host of new show Peter Crouch's Save Our Summer, and the Beeb believe she could be their answer to ITV darling Holly Willoughby.
A source told us: "Maya is seen as one of the biggest stars on the box right now and could easily go on to be as big as Holly Willoughby. "At the moment she’s tied to the BBC with her Saturday night show and the door remains open for her to return to Radio 1. "But other major channels would also love to have her.
